Satellite has proudly partnered with Fieldays since 2018, helping to develop and enhance the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Agricultural event through innovative technology, ticketing and evolving digital solutions.

The past few years have seen a journey from a physical event, to an online only event, a hybrid, then back to physical, with Satellite working alongside the New Zealand National Fieldays Society every step of the way. 

Over 105,000 attendees descended on Mystery Creek in June 2023 to partake in Fieldays - with sunny skies to kick off the event and plenty on offer for attendees, it was a four day event not to be missed.

Event Ticketing

Incorporating our extensive multi-functional TAG event and ticketing product, Satellite provided online ticket purchase via a ticket fulfillment website. Once registered on the site, digital tickets were downloadable to a device or could be printed. We also installed a POS system so people could purchase tickets at the gate.

Online & Onsite Experience

Satellite created and managed the main Fieldays Event website, featuring event and exhibitor info, maps, FAQs, Health & Safety messaging and contact information. 

The site was supported by a mobile app incorporating interactive location wayfinding, general Fieldays information and amenities, exhibitors search and location, promotions, H&S details and a personalised profile to access tickets and save favourite exhibitors.

Exhibitors had the option of tier packaging with the highest tier allowing for a main site listing plus their own dedicated microsite portal with brand content, video galleries, promotions and bespoke competitions, social links, direct EDM and sales lead messaging. 

On arrival at Mystery Creek Events Centre, the home of Fieldays, attendees produced their ticket which was scanned by the entry staff and paired with a wristband to wear. This wristband could be used at exhibitor stands to enter competitions or sign up to mailing lists.

Onsite

Support

Satellite provided onsite technical support for client activations created by our team, exhibitors and online content management for the main website, microsites, and apps, available for the duration of the event.

Satellite created the CMS to support main site functionality plus the ability to create and content manage all client microsites and Sponsor Apps either by us or the client. Full online technical support and hosting management was also provided.

Our team was on the ground in every respect for the Fieldays event - managing gate access, ticket sales, volunteers, exhibitor activations, reporting and more. Starting well before dawn and dressed in multiple layers, the Satellite team were there to greet the masses each day and ensure their first impression of Fieldays was a good one.

Satellite also provided fabrication of hardware and software for specific client activations including screens, devices, kiosks, and connectivity. For the Fieldays Team we designed a portal for money management, data reporting and volunteer and staff management.

With a multi-faceted approach to this year’s Fieldays the results online and onsite show the success of this model.
